Maintenance of Mud Solids Control Equipment

The maintenance of mud solids control equipment affects the separation efficiency and service life. Mud solids control equipment needs to be cleaned, lubricated and protected regularly. Develop differentiated maintenance plans for different equipment.
Specialized maintenance and care methods for each core equipment.

Mud Shale Shaker: Mud Shale Shaker are the most important solid control equipment.

Screen maintenance: This is the core of Mud Shale Shaker maintenance. Check the tension of the screen mesh at each shift. If it becomes loose, tighten the tension bolts in time. Replace the screen immediately when it is found to be damaged or have holes. When replacing the screen mesh, the residual solid particles in the screen frame need to be cleaned.

Shaker Motor maintenance: Regularly lubricate and protect the motor.

Spring: Check whether the vibration damping spring is deformed or broken. If the spring fails and needs to be replaced, it will intensify the vibration and wear of the equipment.

Desander/desilter: Cyclone maintenance: Check the wear condition of the inner wall of the cyclone every shift. If severe erosion occurs, replace the inner lining in time. Check whether the overflow outlet and the underflow outlet are blocked. When clogged, flush with high-pressure water. Do not strike with hard objects.

Centrifugal Pump maintenance
Check the degree of wear of the pump body impeller; Replace the impeller when the wear exceeds 5mm. If there is leakage in the shaft seal or packing, it should be tightened or replaced in time. Regularly clean the filter screen at the pump inlet to prevent large drill cuttings from entering the pump body.

Mud Centrifuges
Regularly inspect the wear condition of the inner wall of the drum and the spiral blades. When the wear is severe, weld the wear-resistant layer or replace the components. Prevent excessive accumulation of solid particles from causing imbalance of the drum.

The differential is key component of the mud centrifuges. Special lubricating oil should be replaced regularly in strict accordance with the instructions.Monitor the operating noise of the differential. If abnormal sounds occur, stop the machine and check the gear meshing condition.

Vacuum degasser
Check the quality and level of the vacuum pump oil. Replace it immediately if the oil is turbid. Clean the filter cotton at the air inlet of the vacuum pump to prevent dust from entering the pump body.

Drilling Fluids Agitator
Regularly check the wear of the stirring blades and whether the fixing bolts of the blades are loose. If the surface of the blade is severely fouled, clean it with high-pressure water or special tools.
Check whether the mechanical seal of the stirring shaft is leaking. If there is leakage, adjust the tightness of the sealing cover. If the problem still cannot be solved, replace the sealing part.
